Call for a crowdfunding to save La Clef!
La Clef is an emblematic cinema in the Latin Quarter, famous for its support for under-represented film genres and rare films. Because its owner caused it to close in April 2018, the Home Cinéma association decided to occupy this venue, the last community cinema in the french capital, to save it from property speculation.
After a year of occupation, 300 screenings, 100 guests, unanimous support from the audience, filmmakers, film professionals, media, institutions and politicians, there is no permanent solution to save the cinema.
That’s why we’re offering to buy it together. Let La Clef finally become our cinema, our common property.
